Specifications additional GP-FT modules
Cognitive Load Module »
- Driver performance assessment based on 'in race' cognitive load tests:
- Dual task reasoning and memory training;
- Time on Task (ToT) and fatigue effects measurement;
- Discriminative imperative Reaction Time (DRT) training;
- Statistical analysis and correlation of driving performance with cognitive load performance.
Test setups and result organization are integrated in the operator console.
Physiological Load Module »
- Heated cockpit;
- Data sampling and analysis of psycho-physiological aspects (systole and diastole Blood Pressure, Electro Cardiogram, breathing rate, body temperature, Galvanic Skin Response);
- Statistical analysis and correlation of driving performance with physiological condition.
Test setups, data collection and data presentation integrated in the operator console.
Perform driver assessment and training based on physiological performance and stamina:
Meteorological Module »
- heavy rain or local rain;
- local fog;
- wind intensity and direction;
- air and track surface temperature;
- thunder / lighting;
- (local) wet track conditions.
Weather can be directly controlled from the operator console or set to random or semi-random patterns. A meteorological console shows forecasts and other information allowing for more depth in team training exercises.
To safely train and evaluate drivers in the most harsh and dangerous circumstances several weather and environmental conditions are available and controllable such as:
Team Training Module »
- Expanding training beyond just the driver, telemetry consoles show all relevant information from the car. Car state variables are graphed and settings can be altered. Driver and competition timing information is shown. Communication with the driver is possible through an intercom system (can be partly or completely shutdown from operator console) and pitwall boards. Either through direct operator intervention or scenario driven, the entire decision making process of the team can be trained, replayed and debriefed / reviewed. Using the “situation recall” function all possible decisions can be played out and reviewed / debriefed post session.
Track Sets »
- The GP-FT Core System is delivered with a single, non-existing track well suited to general driver training and evaluation. For situational training additional tracks can be added to the system. Track and track conditions are selectable through the operator console during session setup. Any set of tracks can be installed, provided sufficient geographical and environmental data is available. Installed tracks are updated regularly to mirror the (constant) changes on the real tracks.
Motion»
- The GP-FT Core System includes a high frequency electric/pneumatic motion system. For the maximum effect of motion queuing an adapted version of the Core System 24 can be placed on a 7x7 meter stroke XY-table. Other motion queuing options are an integrated G-seat/suit or longer stroke motion systems. (Note: the XY-table option is only available with the 24” stroke motion system).
