GP-XL-B Formula One

This simulator, first delivered in June 2006,
is the world's first F1 simulator purposely
designed, built and tuned, with respect to hardware,
software and content. No Playstations here ;)

The GP-XL-B simulator features a full size
Formula One car with all details and realism up
till the BBS rims and racing tires. Of course,
the racing chassis has no engine and this room
is used to store a long list of electronics,
computers, sensors and other hardware.

6Dof Motion system

The GP-XL moves in 6 dimensions over relative long distances,
all in order to generate the maximum of force realness felt
by the driver. Track design and special effects such as hitting
the kerbstones is modelled/simulated in high detail.
The high speed and high definition car dynamics software
of this simulator is so detailed that each track requires
a specific set-up.

Given the weight and speed of the simulator specific
safety measures are required to operate the GP-XL-B.

To accommodate the demanding (simulator) driver a range
of adjustments and controls are built into the F1 steering wheel.
Controls include Traction Control, Power Boost, RPM limiter etc.

Although for the production of the race car a FIA blueprint
is used, we have significantly enlarged the cockpit,
giving room to drivers up to 190 cm length and 90 kg.

In accordance to the EU directives for personal safety,
the Simulator has to be placed in a 'controlled area' which is
constantly monitored by safety devices. The simulator will stop
instantly if any hazard is immanent or a person gets to close
to the simulator. In addition, an Operator's presence is required.

Driver support is provided through a Push to Talk intercom system
using studio amplifiers/mixers and professional headsets;

6Dof Motion system

Each GP-XL is sold with an all exclusive, specifically to the
customer's purposes designed and built Grand Prix race track, conforming
FIA F1 regulations/specifications. On this track the driver competes
with 24 2006 FIA F1 Spec cars/drivers/teams.

Sponsoring both on (virtual) track as well as the race car
(in fact the entire livery) are subject to regulations in the
sales contract, Vesc offers all services to enable sponsoring.

Delivery time of GP-XL simulators (2006-2007) is, since definite ordering, 6 months to one year, including installation and testing on site.

Please apply for a technical specification summary via email.

For each simulator in its application context, Vesc offers a
spare part package to be stored on site (your location) and
at Vesc offices. Matters are arranged for by SLA.

GP-3 Rallycross

This simulator does not have a "body" or "car", but is an 'open seat' system. As such
it has a totally different appearance when compared to GP Karting or GP Formula One.
Although the motion system is limited to 3 degrees of freedom (pitch/roll/heave) the
accelerations are very high, making the GP-3 a mean machine. But of course it is
adjustable to the customers/drivers need via the Operator Console.

As standard content package the European Rallycross Championship is implemented. Currently
the GP-3 is offered with the German Buxtehude raceway and a look alike of the Dutch
track "Rallycross Valkenswaard". The Norwegian, Polish and Portuguese EU Champ
tracks will be added as standard components.

For an overview of the GP-3 Rallycross content please visit GP-3 Rallycross

The GP-3 is perfect for multi user applications. Since Rallycross is raced with 4 to 6 cars
on track, we offer 4 and 6 seat systems, including all required networking (hardware/software).
The excitement rating of the multiseat GP-3 race is very high: swing with your friends into a high
speed gravel corner, door to door, and adrenaline flows abundantly ;)

The cost level is significantly lower when compared to the GP-XL.
Delivery time since definite ordering is 6 to 9 months.
Please apply for a technical specification summary or further information via email.

GP-Karting

GP-Karting is the only GP sim that does not have a motion system, being the entry level
simulator.
The kart that you race is comparable to the FIA ICA/ICC definition. A seat of your
specification (size/colour) is mounted symmetrical in the frame.
Throttle and brake have CNC aluminium pedals and are very precise and contra loaded
(dampened spring, hydraulic load).

The steering wheel is made from hardened aluminium and carbon fibre and has several
settings (electronics, knobs/buttons) used to control essential race adjustments,
for example brake distribution. Optional to this simulator is the RS-4, a steering wheel
that allows simulator control (restart, skip event, track select, force settings etc.).
The RS-4 has a tiny touch screen with a fully functional Linux server built in (!).
The steering column has ball bearings and is connected to fully functional wheels.
As forcefeedback on the steering wheel 3 options are available: passive spring loaded,
open and closed loop force feedback. The modules are interchangable and are an important
factor in the total costs.

Albeit GP-Karting is the entry level of the Vesc GP simulators, it has nevertheless an
significant feature list. Please apply for a technical specification summary via email.

Simulator racing centre control system

Two or more simulators of any type can be used in a shared environment.
Multi user systems are cost effective and offer a 'face to face' race experience,
multi seat racing is compelling, exciting and demanding. It's cool.
Vesc offers a complete solution for the entrepreneur to operate a simulator racing centre.
the Management System modules allow for:

  • telemaintenance;
  • internet reservations;
  • customer Team organisation
  • customer sales (replays on DVD, Caps, certificates);
  • (sponsored) Championships with point system and rankings;
  • end user forums to share ideas on set-up, race tactics, team play;
  • swipe card based 'closed economy': no money is needed inside the racing centre.

  • Setting up a race centre is not a thing to be done in a day. Vesc can support your
    planning and initiatives. Location requirements are available in DXF format.
    Requirements with respect to safety, hygiene, power, isolation etc. on request.

    Display items, Merchandise
