Development of new F1 replica
For future deliveries of GP-XL-B simulators
a new, 100% authentic F1 replica is being developed.
The car has many new features, improving the total
appearance of the GP-XL-B considerably.
Please note that all branding on the car had to be
removed, with correct liverei the new F1 replica
has no comparision.

Bon Voyage to Costa Serena!
While preparing for the Maiden Voyage, the Costa Serena is
anchored close to the Costa Concordia: two giants meet.
It has been an honour for Vesc to have installed on both vessels
the world's most advanced F1 racing simulator.

Inauguration of Costa Serena and F1 simulator
As part of the launch for the Costa Serena in Marseille on May 19,
Pierre Combot, a French Grand Prix driver, will inaugurate the
GP-XL-B F1 racing simulator.
Combot will have the honor of completing the first lap in the Costa cockpit,
also setting a record time for the ship’s guests to beat.

Vesc ships GP-XL-B Formula One simulator
After several months of building, tuning and testing, the brand
new GP-XL-B Formula One simulator REV2 is packed and
loaded for transport to Costa Crociere, Genoa, Italy.
A 2 tons total of computers, simulator, cables and electrical devices
is transported over the road to find its place on Italy's largest
cruise ship, the Costa Serena.
While the hardware needs to travel by road,
all new content and software is securely and safely transmitted
to the Costa Serena over satellite Internet.

Update replica F1 racecar
As an upgrade Vesc has developed a new front wing.
The wing is more compatible with the 2007 F1 racecars,
and it gives the racecar a definite distiction

New feature: removable seat
To offer a quicker service/repair of teared racing seats, Vesc
has developed a removable insert for the GP-XL-B Formula One.
The seat can be replaced in a matter of seconds.
New orders for the GP-XL-B will include 5 seats per simulator.
In addition, several other components that will wear when used
intensively are supplied in multitude.

All new Operator Console
For use with any GP simulator, Vesc has developed an all new,
high tech IP65 Operator Console. The terminal is loaded with
easy to use features, amongst others:
PTT Intercom panels for headset usage;
Mic/speaker intercom
Smartcard security panel;
Emergency stop panel;
Motion System TFT monitor;
Large touchscreen for Operator interface
Height/angle adjustment
The brand new Operator Console will be initially shipped
for the GP-XL-B simulator to be installed on Costa Serena.

Costa Crociere, Genua, Italy, orders
F1 GP-XL-B revision 2
Given the success of the F1 simulator on the Costa Concordia,
Costa Crociere orders a revision 2 GP-XL-B simulator from Vesc.
The revision ordered implies an all new electronic/electrical
design aiming at both a smooth installation and low repair times.
The Formula One simulator will be installed on the Costa Serena,
the largest cruise ship ever built in Europe.

GP-XL-B F1 Simulator in full "production"
After a successful installation and testing perdiod the F1 Simulator
has been taken into "production", accepting hundreds of drivers each month.
Any motion simulator may cause users to get motion sickness,
Vesc is very glad to have had only 1 incident over thousands of users!.
While the simulator system offers several racing pacakges, it appears from
database analysis that guests prefer "testing", where you race alone on the
National track layout, besides the 24 competitor-strong International GP race.

F1 driver Liuzzi tests the GP-XL simulator
Amidst captains of industry and Italian TV/press, Formula One driver Mr. Liuzzi
(Toro Rosso/Red Bull) enjoys test sessions in the GP-XL-B simulator.

of Carnival Corp. CEO Micky Arison and Costa Crociere CEO Pier Luigi Foschi.
“The braking and acceleration is similar to a real car.

Simulator hoisted on board the Costa Concordia
A massive amount of computers, motion system
and simulator equipment has left The Netherlands
to travel to the Concordia in Genoa, Italy.
After a short delay caused by strong winds,
the GP-XL-B flies to her destination, see photo.

GP-3 Rallycross: additional tracks
Several International European Rallycross tracks
agree with Vesc on the appearance of these tracks
in the GP-3 Rallycross simulation.
The participation of Germany, Portugal, Norway, Poland
and France make it possible to setup complete
EU Rallycross championships on the GP-3 simulator.

European Champion in GP-3 Rallycross
European Champion Rallycross Ron Snoeck cooperates
in the development of a new simulator: the GP-3 Rallycross.
The system is based upon a cost effective 3Dof motion system.
A Vesc camera on board Rons racing car has delivered
a wealth of video material of all European Rallycross tracks.

4Space on the move!
The simulator system kernel is adapted to generate motion cues.
The system is connected to several 6DoF motion systems
as well a 3DoF system. Systems are tested both in the EU and USA,
results are more than promising.
