Any simulator has/may have components such as:
Modularity
Each facility (both software and hardware) is built as a component.
This allows Vesc to offer products with spare parts and to
service and repair systems efficiently. Also planned/scheduled upgrades
of modules on existing simulators are possible and recommended.
Multi-pipe / screens
The smallest simulator uses a 640x480 screen, the largest triple
1600x1200 TFTs at 60 Hz. Vesc offers projector as well as TFT or CRT based solutions.
Simulator control
Cost effective solutions are offered in the form of laptop or
standard PC hardware where mouse/keyboard controlled software regulates
the simulator's behaviour.
We also offer dedicated systems for this same purpose including
WIFI-SBC controllers, swipe card facilities (payments/IDs), touch screens etc.
(Tele) maintenance / Support
Each simulator has an Internet connection which is online permanently,
allowing access to Vesc for upgrading/error logging/repair and maintenance purposes.
Repairs/upgrading on-site within Europe may be guaranteed
with a 48 hrs response clause. Vesc offers field engineers to operate simulators
during special events, etc. against pre-negotiated hourly prices.
Stability and security
Simulator systems use fast or very fast local networks (100/1000tx) on which SBCs,
CAN bus devices, I2C bus devices and Linux/windows PCs operate. The system is routed
via high quality and configurable switches and/or firewalls.
A simple Internet connection is required for each simulator to be able to operate.
Development of racing simulations
Simulator race car setups are developed with a high quality realtime networking utility
allowing the developers to change or adjust ANY component of the car while driving.
Below is a screenshot of the development utility.
